Job description
Engage with business stakeholders to elicit and define project scope, business requirements, and workflows for assigned projects or new intake items within the insurance and financial services sector. Lead and manage complex projects independently, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project goals. Document detailed business requirements within internally approved systems using Scaled Agile Methodology (Composing Epics). Collaborate with senior business leads to define new project scope, create scope statements, and detail scope requirements for portfolio and project intake processes. Document and oversee system integration requirements involving legacy platforms and third-party solutions, acting as a liaison between business units and technology teams. Build extensive knowledge of business operations to analyze current work procedures and practices. Investigate, evaluate, and report alternative solutions to business needs, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and enterprise architecture guidelines. Work closely with IT Business Systems Analysts to align business processes with technology solutions and participate in systems analysis design sessions as needed. Lead user acceptance test cases in collaboration with business stakeholders, oversee execution of UAT, monitor, track, and report UAT defects while coordinating with QA teams for defect remediation and ensuring timely resolution. Must demonstrate expertise in business process re-engineering, optimization, and the production of project proposals or business cases. Requires advanced proficiency in Microsoft applications, Jira, Azure DevOps, Scaled Agile Framework, Agile methodologies, data analysis, and interpretation.

- Monitor, track, and report UAT defects while coordinating with QA test teams for defect remediation and ensuring timely resolution
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, information management or a related discipline; Master’s degree preferred
- 5-10 years of business analysis experience preferably in insurance or financial services with a proven track record of leading complex projects
- Extensive experience in the analysis and interpretation of business requirements across all aspects of transacting insurance or financial services business
- In-depth understanding of UAE insurance market and regulations
- Proven ability to lead the analysis and support the production of project proposals or business cases
- Demonstrate expertise in business process re-engineering and optimization
- Experience creating user acceptance testing documentation and leading UAT process
- Advanced proficiency in business analysis techniques such as process modeling, root cause analysis, data modeling, process mapping, and traceability
- Deep knowledge and experience in Scaled Agile Framework and Agile methodologies
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft applications – Word, Excel, Project, Visio
- Extensive experience using Jira and Azure DevOps platforms
- Six Sigma certifications would be a plus
- Advanced data analysis and interpretation skills

- Must be a proactive self-starter capable of planning and leading work sessions with minimal oversight
