Job description
The GSE Senior Technician leads technical maintenance activities for Ground Support Equipment at Velora L.L.C-S.P.C (formerly Etihad Airport Services). The role involves supervising technicians, performing inspections, diagnosing complex faults, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and maintaining accurate maintenance records. This position ensures the reliable and safe operation of airport ground support equipment at Zayed International Airport.

Key responsibilities
- Supervise and guide GSE Technicians during preventive and corrective maintenance activities
- Allocate tasks and monitor progress during shifts
- Inspect completed repairs to ensure compliance with quality standards
- Diagnose complex mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and structural faults
- Review equipment defect reports and ensure job cards are accurately raised and closed
- Support troubleshooting and provide technical guidance across workshop sections
- Ensure adherence to safety procedures and environmental regulations
- Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and technical records
Experience & skills
- Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automotive Engineering (or equivalent)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in GSE, heavy vehicle, or industrial equipment maintenance
- Strong technical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Experience supervising and leading maintenance teams
- Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance procedures
- Familiarity with HSE regulations and compliance
- Ability to maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
