The Technology Strategy and Enterprise Architect Consultant – Retail Sector role is part of Accenture Strategy & Consulting and is based in Dubai or Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The position operates within Accenture, a global professional services company specializing in building digital cores, optimizing operations, accelerating revenue growth, and enhancing citizen services through technology-led transformation. The consultant works at the intersection of business and technology, supporting retail-sector clients by delivering tech-enabled transformation, enterprise architecture, and technology strategy initiatives. The role involves rigorous, structured problem-solving for complex technology and business challenges, identifying and prioritizing value creation opportunities based on assessments of high-level visions, performance gaps, and organizational needs. The consultant independently leads small engagements or streams of work end-to-end, managing delivery components including client satisfaction, value delivered, team management, and financials. The position requires experience in IT & Digital technology strategy, enterprise architecture, operating models, data & analytics, and cloud, along with exposure to technology advisory and/or implementation. The consultant collaborates closely with client stakeholders and Accenture teams, interacts with senior management to steer recommendations and secure buy-in, contributes to technology strategy operations and communities of practice, and develops market-relevant thought leadership assets focused on innovative technology strategy domains. Industry experience in retail or related industries is required, supported by proactively acquired business knowledge beyond a purely technical role, potentially through an MBA.

Key responsibilities
- Drive a rigorous and structured approach to identifying and solving complex technology and business problems to generate strategic insights
- Identify and prioritize value creation opportunities at the intersection of business and technology based on assessments, performance gaps, and organizational needs
- Lead small engagements or streams of work independently end-to-end, including client satisfaction, value delivery, team management, and financial management
- Identify and nurture pull-through business opportunities and support business development efforts with clients and Accenture teams through to sale closure
- Collaborate with clients and internal Accenture stakeholders to align business priorities with technology strategy
- Develop deep content knowledge and contribute proactively to technology strategy operations and communities of practice
- Create well-articulated thought leadership assets delivering innovative insights, guidance, and recommendations in market-relevant technology strategy domains
- Engage with senior management at client organizations and within Accenture to steer recommendations and obtain buy-in on alternative strategic approaches
Experience & skills
- Demonstrate experience in IT & Digital technology strategy, enterprise architecture, operating models, data & analytics, and cloud
- Apply strong data-driven consulting capabilities focused on business and technology value architecting and realization
- Operate independently in determining methods and procedures for technology strategy and consulting assignments
- Manage team efforts within client engagements or internal Accenture initiatives
- Support and enable pull-through business opportunities and technology-led value creation
- Apply experience in technology advisory and/or technology implementation engagements
- Leverage industry experience in retail or related industries gained directly or through consulting engagements
- Demonstrate proactively acquired business knowledge beyond a technical role, including through business school education such as an MBA
