Job description
The Senior ERM Analyst (Operations & Locations) is responsible for supporting risk identification, evaluation, and reporting in accordance with the QatarEnergy Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework. This role acts as the focal point for assigned Directorates and subsidiaries, ensuring key risks are accurately captured in the QatarEnergy risk register. The analyst provides assurance on risk management and conducts detailed analysis of critical risks, supporting strategic risk decision-making. The position requires deep expertise in compliance and governance within oil, gas, refining, petrochemicals, or chemical industries, with a focus on identifying value drivers and associated risks across the value chain. The role demands strong interpersonal and communication skills to lead multidisciplinary teams and effectively present complex risk concepts to senior stakeholders.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Review and evaluate risks in line with QatarEnergyâs ERM framework
- Act as risk management focal point for assigned Directorates and subsidiaries
- Support identification and evaluation of key risks and ensure proper documentation in the QatarEnergy risk register
- Conduct in-depth analysis of key operational risks
- Provide assurance and reporting support to risk owners and stakeholders
- Collaborate with diverse stakeholders to build risk alignment and awareness
- Present complex risk concepts confidently to senior leadership
Experience & skills
- 10+ years of professional experience in a compliance or governance role within oil, gas, refining, petrochemicals, or chemicals industries
- Minimum 5 years of direct experience in enterprise risk management
- Strong understanding of the oil & gas value chain and associated value drivers and risks
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams
- Strong analytical and presentation skills
- University degree in a scientific, engineering, or economic/financial subject, preferably at post-graduate level
- Relevant internationally recognised professional qualification
