Job description
Singing, playing, listening and composing make up primary music, and this Primary Music Teacher brings them to pupils at Doha British School's Ain Khaled campus. Lessons follow the National Curriculum of England, adapted to reflect Qatar's culture, heritage and values. A student-centred classroom is expected, where every learner can take part and progress. Performances and school events give pupils a chance to share what they learn. Character development and pastoral care sit at the heart of school life. Colleagues work collaboratively, and CPD includes partnerships with Evidence Based Education. Staff arrive in-country by mid-August for orientation and induction. Candidates need a Bachelor's in Education or equivalent, a PGCE or QTS with an Early Career Teaching Certificate and at least two years of teaching experience. Strong music subject knowledge and extensive experience with the National Curriculum of England are essential, and appointment depends on an enhanced DBS check.
