Job description
The Project Engineer (Outsource) supports Project Management Consultancy activities by reviewing progress payment documentation, conducting site inspections for progress verification, and validating approved payment percentages across construction projects in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. The role prepares and maintains comprehensive project files, develops project breakdown structures and cash flow forecasts, and supports financial verification activities related to VAT. Responsibilities include reviewing Federal Tax Authority applications, liaising with clients, validating VAT invoices and supporting documentation, and preparing draft VAT verification reports. The position requires coordination with project owners, contractors, and consultants to ensure accurate reporting, compliance, and high-quality deliverables across PMC-managed projects.

Key responsibilities
- Review progress payment documents and conduct site inspections to verify work completion percentages
- Validate and approve progress payment percentages and prepare payment breakdowns
- Prepare and maintain project files, project breakdown structures, and cash flow forecasts
- Collect and review project documentation from owners, contractors, and consultants
- Review VAT refund eligibility for construction projects
- Review VAT invoices and supporting documents and prepare draft Federal Tax Authority verification reports
- Coordinate meetings with project stakeholders including owners, contractors, and consultants
- Ensure high standards of reporting accuracy and documentation quality
- Monitor project risks and compliance within PMC activities
- Provide professional customer service and represent the company appropriately on site
Experience & skills
- Hold a University Degree in Civil Engineering
- Possess a minimum of three years of experience in a similar project engineering or PMC role
- Demonstrate good engineering knowledge and construction project understanding
- Exhibit experience in progress payment verification and site inspections
- Show familiarity with VAT invoice review and FTA-related documentation
- Demonstrate good communication skills and ability to coordinate with multiple project stakeholders
