Job description
The Engineer β Facilities Management (Hard Services) role supports the Total Facilities Management operations in Dubai, ensuring day-to-day operational management of facilities so that buildings remain fully maintained, functional, and safe for users. The position assists the Facilities Manager and clients by overseeing hard services maintenance activities, coordinating vendors and specialist contractors, and ensuring compliance with safety guidelines, international FM standards, and local statutory requirements. The role manages service delivery against contractual SLAs and KPIs, supports financial reporting and invoicing coordination, identifies continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives, and contributes to energy management and technology integration projects. The Engineer also supports staff induction and training, resource utilization, procurement coordination, and client relationship management to ensure high service quality and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities
- Support day-to-day operational management of facilities to ensure assets are maintained, functional, and safe
- Oversee hard services maintenance activities and coordinate vendors and specialist contractors
- Ensure FM service delivery in line with contractual SLAs and KPIs to avoid penalties and deductions
- Assist in preparing monthly operational performance reports and support financial reviews
- Identify and record continuous improvement initiatives including process enhancements and cost savings
- Coordinate procurement of materials, services, and projects in line with procurement policies
- Manage contract service delivery in accordance with international FM standards and local statutory guidelines
- Support staff induction, training, and ongoing competency development in line with SOPs
- Monitor resource utilization and staff attendance to ensure contractual compliance
- Liaise regularly with clients to maintain service quality, conduct site visits, and resolve service issues
- Coordinate invoicing activities with administration and finance teams
- Execute energy management initiatives and support integration of new technologies with ROI justification
Experience & skills
- Hold a Bachelorβs degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent
- Possess 3β5 years of experience delivering facilities management services under structured contracts with defined SLAs and KPIs
- Demonstrate knowledge and effective use of CAFM systems
- Hold IOSH, NEBOSH, or CFM certification as a preferred qualification
- Maintain a valid driving license as a mandatory requirement
- Exhibit strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint with report writing capability
- Demonstrate ability to manage ad hoc and fit-out projects
- Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills for client and team engagement
