Job description
Mathematics at Doha British School runs from Key Stage 3 through IGCSE, AS/A Level and the IB Diploma, and the Ain Khaled campus is the only school in Qatar offering AS and A Levels, BTEC and the IB Diploma together. This full-time secondary position, available for an immediate start, teaches across those pathways. Lessons follow the National Curriculum of England, adapted for Qatar's culture, heritage and values. Strong subject knowledge and a record of outstanding teaching matter here, because students sit demanding external qualifications. Day to day, you plan and deliver lessons, assess progress and give feedback that moves each student forward. Pastoral care and character development are central to the DBS approach, so the job extends well beyond mathematics. Extracurricular contribution is expected too. The package includes a tax-free salary, furnished accommodation with utilities, school fee discounts for two dependants, an annual flight allowance, medical and life insurance, and CPD through Evidence Based Education. A PGCE or QTS backed by a subject-relevant degree is required, and every appointment depends on an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
