Job description
The Vice President and Head of Working Capital and Real Estate Lending at RAKBANK is a senior leadership role responsible for defining, managing, and driving the performance of the bankās lending products for SME and commercial clients. The position focuses on strategic growth, profitability, and innovation across the Working Capital and Real Estate Lending portfolios, aligning with RAKBANKās overall business banking strategy. The incumbent will lead a team of Product Managers and Analysts to deliver a competitive product suite that meets the evolving needs of business customers while maintaining prudent risk and compliance standards. The role requires a strong balance of commercial acumen, product expertise, and leadership to ensure sustainable portfolio growth, effective pricing, and digital enablement. The VP will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Credit, Risk, Operations, and Digital Banking, to ensure seamless product delivery and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities
- Develop and lead the strategic roadmap for Working Capital and Real Estate Lending products within the Business Banking division
- Define and execute growth strategies to expand portfolio size, enhance profitability, and improve market positioning
- Oversee end-to-end product lifecycle management including design, launch, enhancement, and retirement of products
- Conduct regular portfolio and performance reviews, analyzing data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
- Manage the P&L of working capital and real estate portfolios, ensuring financial targets and returns are achieved
- Develop and implement pricing strategies that align with market competitiveness and profitability objectives
- Identify and deliver innovative product solutions, leveraging digital technologies and customer insights
- Collaborate with internal teamsāCredit, Risk, Operations, Compliance, and Digital Bankingāto ensure timely product delivery and adherence to governance standards
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal risk management policies
- Maintain portfolio quality by enforcing strong underwriting standards and proactive risk controls
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Product Managers and Analysts to achieve departmental and organizational goals
- Represent the Business Banking product function in governance forums, committees, and cross-functional initiatives
- Promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, and performance excellence across the team and wider organization
Experience & skills
- Bachelorās degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field; MBA preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in banking or financial services, with at least 5ā7 years in product management
- Strong understanding of SME banking ecosystem and credit programs
- Proven track record in managing working capital, asset-backed, and real estate lending products
- Extensive experience in portfolio management, P&L accountability, and financial analysis
- Deep understanding of credit, risk, and regulatory frameworks related to business lending
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders
- Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and innovation capabilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for internal and external stakeholder engagement
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, digitally evolving banking environment
