Job description
To manage existing and solicit acceptable new Trade & Working Capital (TWC) relationships for the Business Banking Division, in order to meet pre-set financial and non-financial objectives. The role involves actively sourcing new-to-bank customers, generating business leads, managing relationships, cross-selling other bank products, and ensuring compliance with approved policies while maintaining portfolio quality.

Key responsibilities
- Improve share of wallet and target to be primary bank for each of the relationships in the portfolio under management.
- Enhance relationship revenue from existing portfolio of borrowing and non-borrowing accounts by cross-selling complete range of products offered by the bank.
- Screen the market for NTB opportunities and develop the portfolio by soliciting new relationships within the defined segment and acceptable risk parameters.
- Assume complete ownership of the managed portfolio and provide superior customer service.
- Maintain close working relationships with clients to reduce risks, promote cross-sell, and maximize earnings.
- Conduct annual/periodic credit facility reviews in the existing portfolio and recommend appropriate credit facilities in line with the bank’s credit policy.
- Hands-on relationship management to ensure effective and timely delivery of the bank’s services/products.
- Follow up and closely monitor assigned relationships to ensure satisfactory account conduct and early rectification of credit issues.
- Implement and maintain complete control aspects such as documentation, client visits, call reports, stock inspections, and formal credit checks.
- Liaise between internal and external advisors to ensure precision of agreements.
- Develop on-the-job learning curve of ARMs to enable professional growth.
- Liaise with business units, Risk Management, and enabler units to achieve business objectives.
- Adhere to compliance and regulatory policies regarding KYC and AML.
Experience & skills
- Banking sales and service experience with proven relationship management skills.
- In-depth awareness of financial products and services.
- Understanding of digitization and technological advancements in operations.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Ability to perform as a team player.
- MBA/CA or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the local market.
