Job description
As a Lead Structural Engineer for the LTA 127 Projects with Saipem, you will coordinate and manage the structural engineering activities for complex offshore energy infrastructures. The role involves analyzing scope, leading a team, managing interfaces across disciplines, and ensuring compliance with technical and financial targets. You will interact with various stakeholders including Technical Managers, Marine Warranty Surveyors, and Third Party Authorities while focusing on quality, costs, and project deadlines.

Key responsibilities
- Analyze the complete scope of work and clearly identify objectives and internal/external interfaces.
- Validate consistency between project documents, budget, and allocated resources.
- Identify project hot spots, criticalities, and priorities.
- Organize team activities and define execution procedures for structural studies.
- Prepare Project Design Premises and Structural Design Brief.
- Coordinate team engineering activities focusing on quality, cost, and schedule optimization.
- Manage interfaces with other engineering disciplines, construction, and installation teams.
- Check and review documents issued by the team.
- Supervise specifications, requisitions, and technical bid evaluations.
- Report risks to the Technical Manager and Project Manager.
- Coordinate with Third Party Authorities and Marine Warranty Surveyors.
- Provide weight and center of gravity data for weight control.
Experience & skills
- Knowledge of structural design software SACS.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in offshore design (platforms, fixed facilities, jack-ups).
- Preferred prior work experience with Aramco.
- Experience managing technical teams and multidisciplinary interfaces.
