Job description
The Director, Construction at ROSHN is responsible for overseeing all construction projects to ensure they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the highest quality standards. The role includes developing project plans, negotiating contracts, managing project managers and supervisors, ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations, inspecting project sites, and reporting to senior management. The Director will lead large-scale construction efforts in alignment with ROSHN’s mission to deliver high-quality communities across Saudi Arabia as part of Vision 2030.

Key responsibilities
- Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets for assigned construction projects.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with general contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Provide guidance and approve design specifications and blueprints.
- Ensure compliance with all building codes, permit requirements, and other regulations.
- Hire, manage, and evaluate performance of project managers and supervisors.
- Monitor project progress, identify issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Inspect project sites to assess work quality, safety, and compliance.
- Approve payments and change orders according to contract terms.
- Identify opportunities to reduce project costs and improve efficiency.
- Manage relationships with owners, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Report regularly to senior management on project status, issues, and risks.
- Close out projects, conducting post-mortems to capture lessons learned.
Experience & skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field
- 15+ years of experience directly managing complex construction projects
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget and meeting specifications
