Job description
The Relationship Manager - Commercial Mortgage will independently generate and nurture leads within the commercial lending space, proactively identifying potential clients, assessing financial needs, and providing tailored financing solutions. The role involves managing the end-to-end commercial lending process, collaborating with banks and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless loan approvals and timely funding. Responsibilities include building a robust referral network, maintaining accurate client records using CRM and tracking tools, and overseeing inbound referrals. The ideal candidate has proven experience in relationship management within commercial real estate financing, understands lending processes and underwriting standards, possesses analytical skills to assess client financials, and can manage multiple relationships simultaneously. Experience in fintech, proptech, or startup environments and familiarity with UAE market trends and legal frameworks is advantageous.

Key responsibilities
- Drive sales performance by independently generating and nurturing leads within the commercial lending space
- Proactively identify and engage potential commercial clients, assess their financial needs, and provide tailored financing solutions
- Manage the end-to-end commercial lending process, including client consultations, documentation, and deal structuring
- Collaborate with banks, internal teams, and key stakeholders to ensure seamless loan approvals and timely funding
- Build and maintain a robust network of referrals by establishing strong relationships with real estate firms, brokers, and financial professionals
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions, transaction progress, and pipeline status using CRM and tracking tools
- Oversee and manage inbound referrals from brokers and the direct sales team, ensuring timely follow-up and conversion
Experience & skills
- Proven experience in relationship management within commercial real estate financing
- Strong understanding of commercial mortgage products, lending processes, and underwriting standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport quickly
- Analytical mindset with the ability to assess client financials and structure tailored financing solutions
- Self-starter with a proactive attitude and ability to manage multiple relationships simultaneously
- Proficiency in CRM tools and basic financial software (Excel, Google Sheets)
- Client-first approach with problem-solving skills under pressure
- Existing network within the UAE market
- Knowledge of local market trends, property types, and legal frameworks related to commercial finance
- Experience working in a high-growth fintech, proptech, or startup environment
- Experience working with cross-functional teams (credit, direct sales, real estate team)
- Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of closing high-value deals
