Job description
Tamara, Saudi Arabiaâs first fintech unicorn and a leading financial technology platform in the GCC with headquarters in Riyadh, seeks a Legal Counsel with 3â4 years of experience to serve as a key in-house advisor supporting rapid growth and innovation. The role reviews and negotiates a wide range of commercial contracts and develops template contracts based on business needs; conducts thorough legal research and provides clear, concise advice to internal stakeholders on varied legal and regulatory issues; works closely with product, engineering, finance, and sales to deliver timely, practical guidance that enables business objectives; supports protection and enforcement of the companyâs intellectual property rights; supports incorporation and management of corporate affairs across the Group; and assists senior legal team members on strategic transactions, managing legal disputes, and business inquiries. The position requires bilingual capabilities in English and Arabic and a highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive approach suited to a fast-paced, evolving fintech environment.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Review and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts and develop template contracts aligned to business needs
- Conduct legal research and deliver clear, concise advice on legal and regulatory issues to internal stakeholders
- Partner with product, engineering, finance, and sales to provide timely and practical legal guidance that supports business goals
- Support the protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights
- Support incorporation activities and ongoing management of the Groupâs corporate affairs
- Assist senior legal team members on strategic transactions, legal disputes, and business inquiries
Experience & skills
- Bachelorâs degree in law
- 3â4 years of experience with at least 2 years of training and/or work in private practice
- Ability to think strategically and align legal advice with company business objectives
- High level of organization, attention to detail, proactivity, and willingness to learn
- Fluency in English and Arabic, written and spoken
