Job description
The Senior Manager – Banking & Insurance Consulting role at Sia, based in Abu Dhabi, UAE, is responsible for growing and delivering the Insurance & Banking consulting practice across the GCC. The position combines business development, client leadership, and hands-on engagement delivery. The role entails expanding relationships with banks and insurers, leading pursuits from discovery to contracting, building alliances with technology partners, and creating thought leadership and market-relevant assets. The Senior Manager oversees end-to-end delivery of complex multi-workstream programs, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, quality, and benefits realization, including designing target operating models, process improvements, digital customer journeys, data/analytics use cases, and change management strategies. The role also manages technology-enabled change involving core platforms, integrations, cloud/data, CRM, automation, and AI. Domain expertise covers Banking (retail/commercial lending, payments modernization, core banking transformation, AML/KYC, financial crime, credit risk, finance, and reporting) and Insurance (P&C/Life underwriting, pricing, claims transformation, policy administration/core replacement, distribution/broker experience, finance/actuarial, IFRS 17). The position requires strong knowledge of GCC regulatory frameworks, including SAMA, CBUAE, QCB, CBB, data privacy laws, AML/CFT, FATF, Islamic banking, and Takaful. The role demands leadership in multi-workstream transformations, executive communication, financial and analytical acumen, and the ability to produce client-ready materials in English and Arabic.

Key responsibilities
- Expand relationships with banks and insurers across the GCC; develop account plans and originate qualified opportunities
- Lead pursuits from discovery, solution design, pricing, commercials, proposal/orals, to contracting/SOWs
- Build and manage alliances with technology partners; co-develop go-to-market offerings and joint pursuits
- Create thought leadership and market-relevant assets tailored to GCC priorities, including open banking, instant payments, IFRS 17, and digital claims
- Represent the firm at industry events and maintain trusted C-level relationships
- Own end-to-end delivery of complex, multi-workstream programs ensuring scope, schedule, budget, quality, and benefits realization
- Define target operating models, process improvements, digital customer journeys, data/analytics use cases, and change management strategies
- Oversee technology-enabled change with client IT and vendors, including core platforms, integrations, cloud/data, CRM, automation, and AI
- Manage engagement commercials and governance, including margin, staffing, RAID, steering committees, and executive reporting
- Lead and develop teams (Managers, Consultants); instill delivery excellence, methods, and knowledge sharing; contribute to practice strategy and offerings
Experience & skills
- Minimum 10+ years of consulting experience within Insurance and/or Banking practice, combining business development and hands-on program delivery
- Established GCC network with senior client relationships and demonstrable track record converting relationships into engagements
- Proven success leading multi-workstream transformations to time, cost, and quality with quantified business outcomes
- Strong command of GCC regulatory frameworks and market dynamics, including data residency and Islamic finance/Takaful
- Experience with major industry platforms: Temenos/Transact (T24), Finacle, nCino, Mambu; Guidewire, Duck Creek, Sapiens; Salesforce Financial Services Cloud, Microsoft Dynamics, ServiceNow; cloud/data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP regional)
- Excellent executive communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills, adept at workshops and steering committees
- Financial and analytical acumen: pricing and margin management, business cases, KPI design, and value tracking
- Fluent in English and professional fluency in Arabic, able to deliver workshops, facilitate meetings, and produce client-ready materials in both languages
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; MBA or relevant master’s degree preferred
- Professional certifications preferred: PMP/PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum/SAFe, Lean Six Sigma, CFA/FRM, ACII/LOMA, CAMS
