Job description
The Rail Telecommunication Project Manager at Alstom Dubai is responsible for the full lifecycle management of rail telecommunication projects. This includes overseeing project execution to meet contractual requirements and exceed customer expectations, ensuring timely delivery, maximizing cash and margin, and maintaining compliance with Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Planning (QCDP) and Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) standards. The role involves coordinating with cross-functional teams including engineering, procurement, and operations, protecting the company's legal and contractual rights, monitoring project progress, implementing corrective actions, and identifying additional opportunities for project expansion. The manager will lead complex projects with multiple stakeholders, utilizing project management methodologies, tools, and best practices to ensure successful delivery and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities
- Drive execution of rail telecommunication projects to meet contractual requirements and maximize results in cash and margin.
- Oversee project Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Planning (QCDP) ensuring alignment with company and customer expectations.
- Ensure compliance with Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) standards across all project activities.
- Manage and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to ensure smooth project execution.
- Lead and motivate cross-functional teams to meet project goals and deliverables.
- Monitor project progress, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Communicate project status, issues, and updates effectively to all relevant stakeholders.
- Protect Alstom’s legal and contractual rights throughout project execution.
- Seek and propose additional business or project opportunities to the Customer Director or Platform.
Experience & skills
- Degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience in telecom project management, preferably in railway or transportation infrastructure.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
- Familiarity with contractual and financial management principles.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
