Job description
The Program Manager for the Public Realm portfolio in Al Ula, Saudi Arabia, will lead complex multi-workstream programs, overseeing projects such as urban streets, plazas, squares, historic paths, and wadis. The role involves strategic leadership, ensuring program objectives are aligned with organizational goals, and coordinating across multiple workstreams to optimize delivery. The Program Manager will mentor and lead Project Managers, manage stakeholder relationships, maintain quality and risk standards, and drive fast-track initiatives for seasonal implementations. This position demands strong expertise in urban development, public realm planning, program coordination, and the ability to manage diverse teams while delivering high-quality outcomes in alignment with strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Public Realm Program, overseeing multiple workstreams and diverse projects to ensure strategic alignment with organizational objectives.
- Provide strategic direction, setting program goals, defining success criteria, and aligning initiatives with overall organizational priorities.
- Coordinate the planning and delivery of urban streets, squares, plazas, historic paths, wadis, and other public realm areas, ensuring optimal outcomes across workstreams.
- Mentor and lead a team of Project Managers, fostering accountability, collaboration, and professional growth.
- Manage stakeholder engagement, ensuring clear communication, alignment of expectations, and proactive resolution of issues across internal and external partners.
- Maintain rigorous quality and risk management standards across all program workstreams, identifying potential challenges and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Drive fast-track initiatives for seasonal and high-priority projects, ensuring timely execution and achievement of key performance indicators.
- Facilitate program closure by documenting lessons learned, best practices, and ensuring knowledge transfer for continuous improvement in future public realm initiatives.
Experience & skills
- Proven experience in program or project management within public infrastructure, urban development, or similar sectors.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and mentoring project managers.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple workstreams and complex projects with high-quality delivery and organizational alignment.
- Experience engaging and managing stakeholders at multiple levels, ensuring expectations are aligned and communication is effective.
- Expertise in quality assurance, risk management, and fast-track project delivery methodologies.
- Knowledge of public realm development, including urban streets, plazas, squares, historic paths, and landscape management.
- Ability to capture lessons learned and apply best practices to improve future program outcomes.
- Strategic thinker with strong planning, coordination, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in communication and reporting, ensuring stakeholders are informed and decisions are data-driven.
