Job description
The Senior Relationship Manager in Corporate & Institutional Banking is responsible for acquiring and managing a portfolio of corporate clients, including Large Corporates, Government Related Entities (GREs), Mid-Market Corporates, Multinational Companies, and High Net Worth Individuals. Reporting to the Team Head, the role involves soliciting new business, structuring customized financial solutions, cross-selling a wide array of banking products such as trade finance, cash management, treasury, investment banking, and retail banking offerings. The position entails managing revenue, expanding the bank's balance sheet through loans and liabilities, mitigating risk via well-structured and documented transactions, and contributing to the overall profitability of the bank. The candidate must demonstrate solid experience in corporate banking, strong business and analytical skills, and the ability to deliver client-centric solutions while managing risk and promoting cross-functional collaboration.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Market and acquire new-to-bank and new-to-product corporate relationships to generate fresh revenue streams
- Generate fund-based and fee-based revenue through tailored financing solutions
- Contribute to the growth of assets (loan solutions) and liabilities (deposit solutions) on the bank's balance sheet
- Cross-sell a full range of banking products including trade finance, cash management, global markets, treasury, investment banking, and retail banking
- Ensure that transactions are appropriately structured and documented to mitigate credit risk
- Manage an assigned portfolio of corporate clients under the supervision of the Team Head
- Provide customized financial solutions to clientsâ financing needs
- Maintain strong client relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth service delivery and cross-functional coordination
Experience & skills
- Bachelorâs qualification, with a preference for a Master's degree and/or qualifications in accounting, finance, or banking
- More than 10 years of banking experience, with at least 5 years in corporate banking within the UAE
- In-depth knowledge of wholesale and corporate banking products and services, particularly in trade finance, supply chain, and receivables financing
- Strong business and analytical skills, with demonstrated expertise in cross selling and client management
- Experience in managing and growing a portfolio of diverse corporate clients
- Proven track record of achieving results and customer satisfaction
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Team player with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple client relationships effectively
