Job description
The Internal Audit Manager (Operations/Corporate) leads and executes independent audits across OMNIYATâs group functions and businesses, assuring senior management on governance, risk management, and internal control effectiveness while safeguarding company assets and ensuring compliance with RERA, UAE laws, group policies, and professional standards. The role assists in developing the annual, risk-based audit plan through identification and evaluation of risk areas; oversees end-to-end delivery of financial, operational, and compliance audits; and leads audits across development projects, property management, sales, leasing, procurement, and financial operations. The manager evaluates the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls against IFRS and COSO internal control frameworks, assesses governance processes, and recommends practical, business-aligned improvements. Responsibilities include collaborating with department heads to prioritize risks; monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness of risk management; preparing written audit reports with opinions on adequacy, effectiveness, and efficiency; presenting findings to the Director of Audit; and following up on agreed action plans for timely issue resolution. The position ensures implementation of audit software, continuous monitoring, and audit automation; detects red flags and conducts investigations; supervises and mentors audit team members to maintain adherence to audit standards; and promotes a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement across the organization.

Key responsibilities
- Assist in developing the annual risk-based audit plan by identifying and evaluating company risk areas across financial, operational, and compliance domains.
- Oversee the execution and reporting of internal audits across development projects, property management, sales, leasing, procurement, and financial operations in accordance with professional standards.
- Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance processes against COSO and group policies, and recommend practical, effective solutions.
- Collaborate with Heads of Departments to identify, assess, and prioritize risks, and monitor and report on the effectiveness of the risk management process.
- Evaluate compliance with RERA, applicable UAE laws and regulations, and group policies, documenting exceptions and required remedial actions.
- Prepare and present written audit reports expressing opinions on adequacy, effectiveness, and efficiency of audited areas to the Director of Audit and relevant stakeholders.
- Communicate and present findings and recommendations clearly to secure management buy-in and agreement on corrective action plans.
- Follow up on agreed action plans to ensure timely resolution of audit issues and closure of findings.
- Ensure adequate implementation of audit software, continuous monitoring, and audit automation across the internal audit function.
- Detect red flags and lead or support investigations where required, documenting evidence and outcomes in accordance with professional standards.
- Supervise and mentor audit team members to support professional development, quality execution, and adherence to audit methodologies and standards.
- Promote a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement across the organization through audit insights and stakeholder engagement.
Experience & skills
- Hold a Bachelorâs degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, CIA, or CA are preferred.
- Demonstrate a minimum of 8â10 years of progressive audit experience, including at least 3â5 years in a managerial role within real estate, construction, or large diversified groups in the UAE.
- Show strong knowledge of IFRS, COSO internal control frameworks, RERA, UAE regulatory requirements, and group policy compliance.
- Exhibit demonstrated ability to manage audits for large-scale projects and complex financial structures across development, property management, sales, leasing, procurement, and finance.
- Utilize audit software, continuous monitoring, and audit automation tools to enhance coverage, efficiency, and issue detection and follow-up.
- Deliver excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management to present findings, secure buy-in, and track remediation to completion.
