Job description
The AI Product Specialist for Public Sector at SAP will work directly with Public Sector customers in the United Arab Emirates to identify high-impact AI use cases within their SAP landscape and design end-to-end AI-powered solutions. The role involves collaborating with SAP product and engineering teams, customer services, and delivery teams to build scalable solutions leveraging SAP S/4HANA, SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP), and SAP Business AI services. The position requires designing and implementing data pipelines from SAP systems, selecting and integrating AI models including forecasting, classification, copilots, and assistants, and delivering UI and process integration aligned with real business workflows. The AI Product Specialist will run agile delivery cycles including Proof of Concept (PoC), pilot, and production deployment phases while gathering user feedback and driving adoption across operational processes. The role acts as a bridge between Riyadh Lab customers and global SAP Product & Engineering teams, feeding requirements, gaps, and reusable patterns into product roadmaps. The position involves producing reusable accelerators such as reference architectures, templates, and best practices that scale across UAE and the region. The role requires strong grounding in AI/ML concepts, data modelling, APIs, and end-to-end process knowledge of Public Sector operations including Budget Planning, Budget Execution, Grants Management, and Funds Management. The candidate will work directly with customers to conduct discovery workshops, deliver demos, explain technical trade-offs, and design production-ready AI solutions. A software engineering background in Python, Java, or TypeScript is required along with hands-on experience with SAP BTP integrations and at least one SAP domain such as finance, logistics, HR, or public sector. The role also includes prototyping using Claude Code or Figma, working in forward-deployed environments, collaborating with global teams, and delivering measurable customer outcomes. The position requires fluency in English and Arabic and involves working within SAP’s AI-focused team supporting Public Sector innovation across the United Arab Emirates.

Key responsibilities
- Work directly with Public Sector customers in the United Arab Emirates to discover, prioritize, and frame high-impact AI use cases within SAP landscapes using SAP S/4HANA and SAP Business Technology Platform
- Design and implement end-to-end AI solutions including building data pipelines from SAP systems, selecting AI models, integrating SAP Business AI services, and delivering UI and process integration into operational workflows
- Run agile delivery cycles including Proof of Concept, pilot, and production deployments while gathering user feedback and driving adoption across real business processes
- Act as the bridge between Riyadh Lab customers and global SAP Product and Engineering teams by feeding customer requirements, technical gaps, and reusable solution patterns into product roadmaps
- Produce reusable accelerators including reference architectures, templates, and best practices that scale across Public Sector customers in UAE and the broader region
- Lead discovery workshops, customer demos, and solution design sessions while translating business challenges into production-ready technical architectures
- Collaborate with global product, engineering, and delivery teams to design scalable AI solutions and support implementation across customer environments
- Deliver end-to-end production-ready AI solutions while ensuring measurable business impact across Public Sector processes including Budget Planning, Budget Execution, Grants Management, and Funds Management
Experience & skills
- Demonstrate solid grounding in data and AI/ML concepts including data modeling, APIs, forecasting models, classification models, copilots, and assistants
- Demonstrate end-to-end process knowledge of Public Sector processes including Budget Planning, Budget Execution, Grants Management, and Funds Management
- Demonstrate knowledge of Public Sector market dynamics, industry-specific challenges, and SAP Public Sector portfolio offerings
- Demonstrate software engineering background using Python, Java, or TypeScript with hands-on experience integrating SAP BTP and SAP domain applications
- Demonstrate hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP Business Technology Platform, SAP Business AI services, and enterprise integrations
