Job description

The Cyber Security Specialist at Tamara will be based in Dubai and serve as the key cybersecurity liaison for UAE operations. The role is responsible for implementing and managing Tamara’s cybersecurity program, aligned with corporate strategies and local regulatory requirements including those from the CBUAE and UAE IA. The specialist will lead infrastructure enhancements, manage policy frameworks, support code reviews, and enforce CI/CD security controls. Responsibilities include threat modeling, conducting penetration testing, and vulnerability remediation across Tamara’s platform. The candidate must have hands-on cloud security experience (GCP, OCI, AWS), and be familiar with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes. Experience with UAE financial sector regulations and knowledge of frameworks such as PCI DSS, ISO 27001, and NIST is essential. The role also involves regulatory audit support, mentoring junior staff, and contributing to continuous security operations improvement. Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash) are also required to streamline security operations.
