Job description
Every planned change to du's fixed and mobile networks passes through a Change Advisory Board (CAB), and this Dubai-based engineer, placed through edara, chairs it. Requests for Change (RFCs) are sanity checked before execution, then tracked after completion, with the fault process triggered where needed. Maximo is the main tool, used for RFC administration and to help RFC sponsors keep their requests updated against the end-to-end SLA. Business outage and hazard notifications go out when required, and concerns raised by National Interconnect, Platinum Desk, Business Customer Care and Virgin are addressed. Technical and governance consultation is provided to the NIS, TSRM, TSO and IPSDP domains. Shift work, an on-call roster and emergency RFCs after hours are part of the job, along with support for SOC, Business and NDO teams. Quarterly reports cover network performance, availability, SLA achievement and planned and unplanned outages. Expect to bring 3 to 5 years in a similar telecom role, a Bachelor's degree in electronic or computer telecom, and solid knowledge of eTOM, ITIL, SharePoint and Maximo.
