Job description
The Senior Cost Manager at Mace in Abu Dhabi is responsible for delivering comprehensive cost management services for a landmark civil infrastructure project, including roads, bridges, utilities, and external works on an iconic island development. The role involves leading discipline-specific cost management areas using advanced technical expertise, conducting feasibility studies, advising on procurement and contract strategies, and applying value management techniques to optimize project outcomes. The Senior Cost Manager manages estimating and cost planning, ensures compliance in contract documentation, and maintains cost control throughout the contract lifecycle, including monthly reporting. Additionally, the role includes mentoring and coaching Cost Consultants, driving process improvements aligned with net zero objectives, and ensuring high-quality deliverables while fostering client relationships. Middle East experience, adherence to health and safety regulations, and professional integrity are critical, with the position requiring leadership, strategic advisory capability, and team development expertise.

Experience & skills
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or Cost Management (or equivalent)
- Professional membership such as MRICS or equivalent
- Middle East project experience
- Proven experience in cost management, estimating, and contract strategy for civil infrastructure projects
- Ability to mentor and develop team members effectively
- Knowledge of civil infrastructure sectors including roads, bridges, utilities, and external works
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance requirements
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and reporting skills
- Leadership, strategic decision-making, and process improvement expertise
