Job description
Saudi Aramco is hiring a Senior Investment Planning Analyst to lead the development and evaluation of the companyâs 10-year investment plan and related financial models. Reporting into the Corporate Strategy Department, the role is critical in shaping long-term strategic direction through advanced scenario-based forecasting, portfolio analysis, and performance evaluation across the organizationâs business units. This position acts as a financial advisor to corporate management, offering insights into strategic choices, growth opportunities, and market conditions affecting Aramcoâs profitability and risk profile.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Act as the financial modeler and advisor for corporate strategy and investment planning
- Develop and update the companyâs 10-year investment plan and pro-forma financials
- Build and maintain corporate financial models and ensure output accuracy
- Conduct P&L forecasting, performance trend analysis, and evaluation of strategic options
- Evaluate investment opportunities and existing asset portfolios to optimize ROI and risk
- Collaborate with corporate departments to align planning inputs, assumptions, and outputs
- Present insights and recommendations to Corporate Strategy, Executive Management, and the Board
- Handle ad hoc strategic financial requests requiring multi-scenario modeling
- Implement financial quality controls and reporting governance processes
Experience & skills
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business Administration, or Financial Management
- Minimum 15 years of experience in financial quantitative modeling
- At least 5 years in a similar strategic planning role within an energy firm, consultancy, or finance institution
- Expertise in financial reporting, forecasting, and scenario analysis
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Experience presenting to senior leadership and Boards
- Understanding of global energy and chemicals markets is highly desirable
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
