Job description
The Marketing Assistant Manager, Visual Display at Samsung Gulf Electronics will support the Marketing Manager in planning, executing, and optimizing marketing campaigns for the Visual Display division, with the goal of driving customer acquisition, retention, and engagement. Based in Dubai Media City, the role oversees Below-the-Line (BTL) activities such as events, promotions, and experiential marketing, ensuring brand visibility and engagement, as well as Above-the-Line (ATL) initiatives including PR, CRM, digital marketing, and influencer collaborations. Responsibilities include coordinating agency briefings, developing communication strategies for new product launches, creating multi-dimensional campaigns, monitoring campaign performance, and managing legal compliance for marketing terms and conditions. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams such as sales, product development, creative, and retail, alongside external agencies and vendors to deliver projects on time and within budget. The Marketing Assistant Manager will also conduct market research, analyze industry trends, and interpret big data to inform marketing strategies, while aligning all campaigns with Samsung’s broader business objectives. Key responsibilities
- Oversee BTL activities including events, promotions, and experiential marketing to enhance brand visibility
- Coordinate production and distribution of retail print materials with a focus on quality and brand consistency
- Oversee ATL activities such as PR, CRM, digital marketing, and influencer management in collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Brief agencies and ensure campaign execution aligns with departmental priorities
- Develop systematic communication strategies for new products based on market and competitor analysis
- Plan and execute multi-dimensional marketing campaigns across various consumer touchpoints
- Monitor campaign performance, prepare regular reports, and recommend optimization strategies
- Announce campaigns to call centers, field teams, and partners to ensure maximum visibility and execution
- Create marketing terms and conditions and ensure regional adaptation in collaboration with legal teams
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure marketing initiatives are aligned and effectively executed
- Manage relationships with external agencies and vendors to deliver within budget and timelines
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities
- Analyze big data to suggest actionable marketing initiatives
- Contribute to aligning marketing strategies with overall business goals
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field; MBA in Marketing preferred
- 5–7 years of marketing experience, preferably in a multinational company, FMCG, or consumer electronics industry
- Hands-on experience in events planning and execution within the UAE and/or GCC
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team under strict deadlines
- Self-starter with minimal supervision
- Strong quantitative aptitude, commercial acumen, persuasion skills, and assertiveness
- Thorough understanding of marketing and negotiating techniques
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
- Excellent presentation and reporting skills
- Proven ability to lead creative agencies and manage retail touchpoint creatives
- Experience in partner engagement for co-marketing initiatives
