Job description
The Senior Manufacturing Support Specialist at Honeywell is responsible for overseeing manufacturing support within the Building Automation sector, particularly in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. This leadership role includes managing a team of technicians, supporting new product introductions (NPI), developing lean-based assembly lines, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The position collaborates closely with cross-functional teams including design, operations, quality assurance, and engineering to ensure efficient production planning, maintenance, compliance, and quality control. Key responsibilities include systematic root cause analysis for machine issues, resource and capacity assessment, and the development of standardized procedures. The role demands strong problem-solving skills, proficiency in manufacturing systems, and the ability to lead within fast-paced environments. This position is based in Dhahran and is full-time with Honeywell, a global leader in automation, aerospace, and industrial solutions.

Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of technicians to ensure timely production support for customer orders
- Work with the Site Leader and cross-functional teams to drive NPI and transition projects
- Coordinate with design and operations teams to develop cost- and quality-efficient manufacturing plans
- Ensure preventive maintenance and manage breakdowns of assembly and testing equipment
- Support the design and development of assembly lines using lean manufacturing principles
- Conduct root cause analysis for recurring machine breakdowns
- Develop standardized operating sheets, balance line capacity, and conduct cycle-time studies
- Estimate resource needs, assign workload, and assess capacity for manufacturing processes
- Collaborate across teams to execute project plans on time and within budget
- Provide technical guidance to resolve complex manufacturing issues
- Implement and maintain robust quality control systems and conduct audits
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
- Identify training needs and facilitate skill development workshops for team members
- Monitor and analyze manufacturing performance metrics to recommend improvements
Experience & skills
- Have a minimum of 6 years of experience in manufacturing support or related roles
- Demonstrate strong leadership and team management abilities
- Exhibit excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Have experience with manufacturing processes and quality management systems
- Be proficient in using manufacturing software and tools for optimization and analysis
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field
