Job description
The Senior Authorities Liaison Architect is responsible for implementing strategic stakeholder engagement and government liaison activities in alignment with organizational objectives for projects across Dubai, UAE. This role requires managing complex multi-stakeholder projects with successful authority approvals from entities such as Dubai Municipality, CED Trakhees, Dubai Development Authority (DDA), and Dubai South. The architect will identify, analyze, and prioritize stakeholders, conduct stakeholder mapping exercises, maintain up-to-date stakeholder databases like authority tracking registers, and cultivate strong relationships with government entities, community organizations, and business partners. Responsibilities also include designing and executing communication plans, facilitating workshops and meetings, providing insights for informed decision-making, mitigating stakeholder risks, and ensuring alignment with corporate governance and sustainability practices. The role requires expertise in project coordination, regulatory compliance, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver timely, high-quality engagement outcomes while staying current with industry best practices in stakeholder management.

- Develop and implement comprehensive stakeholder engagement strategies that align with organizational goals and ensure successful authority approvals from Dubai Municipality, CED Trakhees, Dubai Development Authority (DDA), Dubai South, and other relevant entities.
- Identify, analyze, and prioritize key stakeholders, maintaining an up-to-date stakeholder database and authority tracking register to ensure effective monitoring of engagement activities and approvals.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholder groups including government authorities, community organizations, and business partners to support project objectives and corporate strategy.
- Design and implement effective communication plans to keep internal and external stakeholders informed and engaged, ensuring consistency of messaging across cross-functional teams.
- Organize and facilitate stakeholder meetings, workshops, and events, providing leadership in presentations, reporting, and documentation for executive management review.
- Conduct regular stakeholder analysis, identify potential risks or conflicts, and develop mitigation strategies to manage issues proactively and maintain positive relationships.
- Collaborate with internal teams including architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure stakeholder requirements are integrated into project delivery, maintaining alignment with corporate governance and sustainability practices.
- Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in stakeholder engagement and government liaison, applying insights to enhance organizational performance and project success.
Experience & skills
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture / B.Sc in Architecture or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in stakeholder management and government liaison within architecture or project management contexts.
- Proven track record of successful stakeholder engagement strategies and authority approvals in Dubai or UAE projects.
- Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects with cross-functional collaboration.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills, with outstanding presentation and facilitation abilities.
- Proficiency in stakeholder management tools, databases, and reporting platforms.
- Strong understanding of corporate governance, sustainability practices, and regulatory compliance relevant to UAE architecture and construction projects.
- Ability to work effectively in multicultural teams and willingness to travel within the UAE as required.
