Job description
The Senior Cost Manager at Currie & Brown in Abu Dhabi is responsible for providing comprehensive pre- and post-contract cost management services across a diverse portfolio of projects, including hospitality, leisure, residential, retail, and infrastructure developments. The role requires delivering accurate cost advice and reporting to clients, supporting project commissions and professional assignments, and ensuring effective communication across teams to maintain financial control. The Senior Cost Manager will undertake cost management activities with limited supervision, ensuring timely and precise delivery of work outputs while providing guidance and support to team leaders and service leaders. Representing the company professionally, the role involves building strong client relationships, negotiating, and corresponding with stakeholders, as well as assuming a leading role in setting objectives, prioritizing tasks, and contributing proactively as a team player. The position requires technical proficiency in quantity surveying, strong commercial acumen, organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams to achieve successful project outcomes.

- Provide accurate cost advice and reporting to clients across all assigned projects
- Deliver projects, commissions, and professional assignments in line with objectives

- Undertake cost management services with limited supervision, delivering work outputs accurately and on time

- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients and stakeholders
Experience & skills
- BSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
- Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS)
- Pre-contract and post-contract cost management experience
- Experience in large developments including hospitality, leisure, residential, retail, and infrastructure
- Strong technical writing, client-facing, and communication skills
- Well-organized, diligent, proactive, assertive, commercially astute, and disciplined
- Team player with a can-do attitude, personable, polite, diplomatic, patient, and flexible
