Job description
As the Staffing Generalist for Kearney’s Dubai office (with coverage across Middle East & Africa), you will play a key role in aligning consultant capabilities with project needs, ensuring efficient staffing for client and internal engagements. Reporting to the Staffing Manager, this role requires close collaboration with HR, Finance, Talent, and global functions to deliver strategic resource allocation, operational excellence, and talent development support. The position involves leading staffing processes, supporting consultant development, and maintaining operational accuracy in staffing systems.

Key responsibilities
- Lead effective staffing of all billable resources to client and non-billable activities, balancing client requirements, consultant preferences, and firm economics
- Proactively monitor staffing pipelines and project demands to align resources strategically
- Test implementation of staffing policies, processes, and guidelines for consistency
- Apply SAP staffing tool and other systems, driving efficiencies and automation
- Ensure proper usage of tools like CV and expert tracker
- Act as primary interface for consultant queries regarding staffing plans and utilization
- Increase visibility on staffing opportunities and drive employee awareness
- Engage with consultants and project leaders to confirm availability, resolve timesheet discrepancies, and manage transitions
- Conduct staffing inductions for new joiners and ensure onboarding
- Maintain and refine staffing records in systems to ensure accuracy
- Support integration of staffing data into analytic tools like PowerBI and SAP
- Work with HR on performance cycle inputs, talent reviews, and employee development actions
- Support implementation of talent measures such as rotations
- Utilize capacity management tools to balance consultant mix for short and long-term needs
- Identify international import/export staffing opportunities to meet client needs
- Prepare weekly staffing and utilization reports
- Compile analytical reports, including rotation and practice reports
- Prioritize and resolve high-impact staffing issues promptly
- Manage at least one industry practice staffing process
- Coach at least one team member on staffing processes and policies
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR or relevant field
- 3+ years of experience required; MBA is a plus
- Fluency in English (Arabic is a plus)
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures
- High proficiency in internal tools/systems
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint presentation skills
- Strong data analysis and reporting abilities
- Experience with SAP staffing tools and PowerBI
- Ability to manage confidential information appropriately
- Understanding of Staffing & Operations activities
- Proactive, adaptable, and able to manage multiple tasks
