Job description
Doha College needs a Primary Class Teacher to cover maternity leave from November 2026, joining one of Qatar's longest-established British international schools. You take responsibility for each child's academic, social and emotional growth, working within an inclusive classroom where every learner feels a sense of belonging. Lessons get delivered entirely in English, and a high standard of written and spoken English is expected as part of daily classroom practice. Curiosity, kindness and a love of learning matter as much as the curriculum itself, with the role calling for more than lesson delivery alone. You model the qualities Doha College's Learner Profile sets out, believing in every child's ability to succeed and encouraging pupils to take risks, reflect and grow from experience. A positive, can-do attitude helps turn obstacles into opportunities, building resilience and optimism in pupils as they learn. Trust and empathy shape the classroom culture too, so children feel safe, valued and confident enough to express themselves. Co-curricular activities form part of the role, alongside contributing positively to the wider school vision across the primary phase.
