Job description
Every health, safety, security and environment question at Air Products' Jubail site ends with this position, the senior on-site HSE authority and single point of accountability for site HSE performance. Company HSSE strategy and systems are implemented here, blended with local Saudi best practice. Regulatory and government authorities deal with you as the company's representative on safety, environmental, fire protection and security matters. Internal HSSE assessments, assurance audits and site safety checks against the Basic Safety Process and Top 20 Life Safety Systems are part of the routine. Health hazard assessments, sound level surveys, ergonomic assessments and EWE are carried out, and annual medical checks and fitness-to-duty certificates are tracked. Emergency planning is yours to own, and you act as safety officer for the site emergency response team. Incident investigations, root cause analysis and corrective action tracking follow every event. Contractors are held to HSE standards with zero tolerance, and the annual training calendar for staff and contractors is built from your training needs analysis. Eight to ten years in chemical or petrochemical operations, including 3 to 5 in site HSE leadership, a certified trainer qualification and Saudi HSE Practitioner registration are required, along with Arabic and English.
