Job description
The Team Leader - Port Operations (Dry Port Documentation) is responsible for managing and overseeing all documentation related to the operations of the dry port at Khalifa Port, Abu Dhabi, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing of operational documents to facilitate smooth and efficient Terminal Operations. The role involves preparing, reviewing, and managing all operational documentation including container details, In & Out records, delivery orders, and other shipping line and customs related documentation, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations and company policies. The Team Leader maintains organized and up-to-date records, ensures proper document archiving and retrieval, generates regular reports on operational activities highlighting key metrics, and assists in audits and inspections by providing necessary documentation and records. Operational oversight includes conducting regular yard inspection and supervision of ground operations to ensure alignment between physical cargo movement and documentation. The position requires coordination with shipping lines, transporters, customers, and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate documentation flow, prompt resolution of documentation-related issues or discrepancies, and compliance with Abu Dhabi Ports health and safety Policies, Processes and Procedures while promoting a culture of safety awareness. The role demands extensive knowledge of Port, Dry Port/ICD, and CFS operations, proficiency in Terminal Management software and other relevant IT systems, and at least 5 years of experience in Port Terminal, Dry Port/ICD or CFS operations with strong familiarity in documentation procedures.

- Assist in audits and inspections by providing required documentation and operational records.

- Address and resolve documentation-related issues or discrepancies promptly to maintain smooth Terminal Operations.
- Comply with Abu Dhabi Ports health and safety Policies, Processes and Procedures and promote safety awareness among staff and stakeholders.
Experience & skills
- Obtain a Bachelor's degree with specialization in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Demonstrate minimum of 5 years of experience in Port Terminal, Dry Port/ICD or CFS operations.
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of Port, Dry Port/ICD, and CFS operations.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Terminal Management software and other relevant IT systems.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of documentation procedures related to container documentation, In & Out records, delivery orders, and customs documentation.
- Demonstrate ability to manage operational documentation, archiving, retrieval, and reporting processes.
- Demonstrate experience supporting audits and inspections through structured documentation management.
- Demonstrate knowledge of Abu Dhabi Ports health and safety Policies, Processes and Procedures.
