Key responsibilities
- Provide technical support for hardware, software, networks, and aviation-specific IT systems.
- Monitor and maintain IT infrastructure, including servers, routers, and network security systems.
- Manage user access, permissions, and system configurations in compliance with company and aviation regulations.
- Support aviation applications such as flight scheduling systems, maintenance tracking software, and electronic documentation systems.
- Perform regular system updates, backups, and disaster recovery testing.
- Troubleshoot system issues and implement solutions with minimal disruption to operations.
- Collaborate with operational departments to understand and support aviation-specific IT requirements.
- Ensure data security, privacy, and compliance with regulatory standards such as GACA, FAA, or EASA (as applicable).
- Support the implementation of IT projects, including system upgrades and new technology integrations.
- Liaise with vendors and service providers for software licenses, hardware procurement, and system maintenance.
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Mandatory).
- Industry certifications such as CompTIA, Cisco CCNA, Microsoft Certified Professional are preferred.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in an IT support or systems administration role.
- Experience in an aviation environment or with aviation-specific systems such as AMOS, SITA, or airline ERP platforms is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of aviation operational workflows is a strong advantage.
- Proficiency in Windows/Linux server environments, networking, and cybersecurity protocols.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, data storage, and backup solutions.
- Familiarity with aviation communication systems and industry-related IT tools.
- Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware/software/network issues.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced aviation environment.
- Team-oriented with the ability to work independently when required.
