Job description
Whistle-blowing reports, Audit Committee referrals and concerns raised by management all lead to special investigations at du, and this Dubai director runs the forensic function that handles them. Cases are prioritised by risk rating and urgency as referred by the SVP of Internal Control. Forensic, special and financial audits are planned with clear objectives, scope and approach, then tested to identify reportable issues and the dimension of risk. Observations are validated with business owners, and action plans with timelines are agreed and tracked to implementation. Detailed reports and summary presentations go to executive management, and regular updates on forensic cases reach the Audit Committee. Senior executives look to you for advice on best practice and corrective measures, and other departments draw on your consultancy when needed. A team carries out allocated assignments under your direction, and compliance with the Internal Control Manual is assessed regularly. Function performance, goals and efficiency are reviewed with reliability and integrity in focus. The role is open to UAE Nationals with at least 8 years in accounting and auditing, ideally in a large telco, and a Bachelor's in Accounting or a related discipline. CPA, CA, ACCA or CIA certification is preferred.
