Job description
The Senior Sales Manager – Leisure at Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah is responsible for driving sustainable revenue growth in the luxury leisure segment. This role focuses on developing and nurturing high-value relationships with travel agencies, tour operators, and luxury consortia while positioning the hotel as a premier destination for global high-net-worth leisure travelers. The role demands strategic leadership, commercial acumen, market insight, and exceptional client engagement skills to deliver consistent results.

Key responsibilities
- Lead development and execution of leisure sales strategies to achieve revenue growth and market leadership
- Source and secure high-value leisure business through agencies, tour operators, wholesalers, luxury consortia, and premium online travel platforms
- Develop and maintain long-term strategic relationships with key leisure partners to maximize repeat and referral business
- Conduct senior-level sales calls, virtual and in-person meetings, site inspections, and presentations
- Represent the hotel at regional and international trade shows, luxury travel fairs, and networking events
- Collaborate with Marketing and PR teams to design targeted campaigns, bespoke packages, and seasonal promotions
- Prepare, negotiate, and finalize rate proposals and contracts while ensuring profitability
- Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and travel behaviors to refine sales initiatives and identify new opportunities
- Partner with Revenue Management to optimize rate structures, channel mix, and availability
- Deliver personalized service and communication to leisure partners and VIP guests to enhance brand loyalty
- Coordinate with Front Office, Reservations, and Operations for seamless guest experience
- Maintain accurate sales reports, account plans, and forecasts to support strategic decision-making
- Meet or exceed personal and departmental sales targets through disciplined pipeline management
Experience & skills
- 5–7 years experience in luxury leisure sales with senior-level responsibility
- Proven record of exceeding leisure sales targets and managing high-value accounts
- Strong knowledge of international and regional luxury leisure travel markets
- Established relationships with premium travel networks and luxury travel consortia
- Exceptional negotiation, relationship management, and client engagement skills
- Strong strategic thinking, commercial acumen, and ability to analyze competitor activity
- Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple accounts and initiatives simultaneously
- Proficiency in CRM, sales analytics, forecasting tools, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Resilient, adaptable, and results-driven
- Preferred education in Sales, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field
