Job description
The In-Field Coach and Operations Lead will drive strategic and commercial success for Roche across private and remote public markets in Saudi Arabia by leading Disease Area Partners and serving as a subject matter expert in Ophthalmology and Multiple Sclerosis. The role owns commercial operations in the private sector and critical remote areas of the public sector, executing targeted account planning and aligning field activities to ambitious brand goals. Core responsibilities include defining field performance metrics, using data analytics and diagnostic tools to identify opportunities and developmental needs, and implementing innovative programs that elevate the quality and quantity of field activities. The position requires deep Saudi healthcare market knowledge, strategic account planning, customer relationship management, commercialization and launch support in new markets, and patient access optimization. The Lead will act as the operational bridge to cross-functional disease area pods, ensuring insights sharing, cohesive market strategies, and brand strategy alignment. This includes selecting, mentoring, and evaluating Disease Area Partners, addressing competency gaps via tailored training programs, and building a high-performing team capable of achieving or exceeding monthly, quarterly, and annual targets. Responsibilities span commercial operations management, performance governance (KPI definition, field effectiveness), competitive advantage building through market insights, and stakeholder engagement across healthcare professionals and key market stakeholders, ensuring a seamless and successful market presence for ophthalmology and MS brands.

- Lead strategic relationships with healthcare professionals and key stakeholders in ophthalmology and multiple sclerosis, acting as a trusted partner to advance brand objectives in private and remote public markets
- Own commercial operations in the private sector and remote public sector areas, executing targeted account planning to unlock opportunities and deliver brand goals with excellence
- Define and establish field performance metrics, leveraging diagnostic tools and data analytics to identify opportunities, developmental needs, and areas for improvement
- Champion continuous improvement by developing and implementing programs that enhance both quality and quantity of field activities to elevate competitive advantage
- Anticipate customer needs and product commercialization demands in assigned markets and proactively determine solutions to ensure seamless market presence
- Serve as the link between assigned markets and cross-functional disease area pods, sharing insights, aligning on strategies, and ensuring field activities are aligned with brand strategy
- Guide, mentor, and evaluate Disease Area Partners, identifying competency gaps and implementing targeted training and development programs to build a high-performing team
- Coordinate cross-functional collaboration to address market challenges and opportunities, ensuring teamwork, shared purpose, and cohesive execution
- Monitor performance against commercial goals and targets, providing direction to achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual objectives
- Communicate market insights and evolving needs to the broader organization to inform strategy and operational decisions
Experience & skills
- Demonstrate proven experience in team leadership and sales management within the pharmaceutical industry, preferably with ophthalmology background
- Show experience and strong understanding of Ophthalmology and/or Multiple Sclerosis disease areas within Saudi Arabia
- Provide a strong background in managing commercial operations with direct experience across private and public healthcare sectors
- Exhibit a track record of leading teams to achieve or exceed commercial goals and targets
- Demonstrate experience in developing and implementing strategic account plans and managing customer relationships
- Prove proficiency in setting performance metrics and using data analytics and diagnostic tools to drive field effectiveness
- Show proven ability to optimize patient access and support commercialization and product launches in new markets
- Display exceptional leadership and people management skills with a history of coaching and developing high-performing teams
