Key responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of Middle East corporate tax compliance, including preparation and filing of tax computations, tax enquiries
• Calculate legal entity tax provisions and work with the EMEA finance team to ensure entries are posted to the financial statements
• Work with the EMEA Tax Director on all compliance matters and preparation of quarterly and year-end tax provisions
• Manage external third-party tax providers in the preparation and disclosure of tax entries in statutory financial statements and coordination of any tax audits
• Ensure SOX procedures and controls are implemented and effective, working with EMEA Tax Director to enhance controls where required
• Manage regional transfer pricing for local entities
• Manage indirect tax in the region
• Assist with employment tax queries in the region
• Advise on taxation implication as required by the business segments on ad hoc projects
• Prepare withholding tax claims/issues across the region
• Support planning activities and tax due diligence and structuring involved with M&A transactional activity
• Support implementation of planning and deals by working closely with the tax compliance team and producing documentation support
