Job description
The Senior Consultant / Manager – Financial Advisory at Teneo in Dubai, UAE, supports clients across corporate finance, restructuring, and turnaround engagements. The role involves conducting industry and business research, performing detailed financial and commercial analysis, supporting debt restructuring, valuation and liquidation exercises, and developing high-quality client deliverables. Responsibilities include preparing financial models, cash flow forecasts, business plans, and independent business reviews. The role also supports client presentations, advisory work, business development initiatives, and contributes to interim management or PMO leadership when required. Projects may involve operational cost reduction, working capital management, turnaround planning, and strategy implementation, with a focus on delivering tailored solutions to complex business challenges across sectors.

Key responsibilities
- Conduct industry and business research to support client engagements.
- Perform detailed financial and commercial analysis of businesses to identify key issues, opportunities, risks, and challenges.
- Support liquidation, valuation analysis, and financial modelling activities.
- Synthesize and present findings clearly in client reports and presentations.
- Produce high-quality deliverables within planned timescales.
- Support client presentations and advisory work, assisting senior team members during meetings.
- Contribute to business development initiatives and support senior team in client acquisition and project proposals.
- Assist in company diagnostics, turnaround planning, and implementation projects.
- Support debt restructuring, cash flow forecasting, working capital management, operational cost reduction, and interim management or PMO activities.
- Ensure effective stakeholder engagement and maintain professionalism, discretion, and integrity across all client interactions.
Experience & skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience in restructuring and turnaround, financial advisory, investment banking, or corporate finance.
- Well-developed financial analysis skills, including analyzing financial statements and unstructured data.
- Technical proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with data analytics tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, and Alteryx is helpful.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Ability to prioritize workloads and adapt to peak demand periods.
- Professional integrity, discretion, and adherence to high standards.
- Preferred: Accounting degree or thorough understanding of accounting concepts.
- Preferred: Arabic language skills and experience in UAE or KSA markets.
