Job description
The Manager – Crew Training Quality & Standards at Emirates, based in Dubai, is responsible for overseeing the strategic quality and standards of cabin crew training programmes. The role ensures that training initiatives meet internal and external standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. The manager leads the development, evaluation, and continuous improvement of learning curricula, delivery methods, and assessment frameworks to optimize learner outcomes and operational excellence. Acting as a key strategic partner, the manager reports to the Divisional Vice President of Cabin Crew Training and drives quality assurance, technological integration, and risk management within training operations.

Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive quality assurance strategy and framework for cabin crew training programmes, establishing policies and procedures for monitoring and evaluation
- Oversee programme evaluation processes including learner feedback, performance assessments, and instructor evaluations, leading continuous improvement initiatives based on findings
- Ensure all training curricula and materials meet organizational and industry standards, collaborating with subject matter experts and instructional designers to enhance content quality and delivery
- Monitor training delivery methods, ensuring alignment with best practices, learner engagement, and effectiveness across a diverse, global workforce
- Lead compliance oversight, managing audits, inspections, and accreditation processes to ensure adherence to internal quality standards and aviation regulations
- Act as a strategic advisor to senior management, providing insights, reports, and recommendations on training quality, trends, challenges, and improvement opportunities
- Identify and manage risks related to training quality, regulatory compliance, and operational disruptions, developing mitigation strategies and contingency plans
- Oversee integration of technology tools such as Learning Management Systems and analytics platforms to enhance training quality assurance and standard adherence
- Manage crisis response and recovery planning for training operations, ensuring minimal disruption and swift restoration of programme delivery
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Quality & Standards specialists and Audit & Data Analysts, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high-quality performance
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align training standards, policies, and quality assurance priorities with corporate objectives
- Evaluate training effectiveness using advanced analytics and data insights, recommending and implementing improvements to learning programmes and operational procedures
Experience & skills
- Completed degree or honors in a relevant discipline or equivalent
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in in-flight services, training administration, or learning and development, preferably in the airline industry
- Proven track record of leading quality assurance initiatives, audits, and continuous improvement projects within large-scale training programmes
- Strong understanding of quality management systems and methodologies applicable to aviation training and education
- Experience managing teams of quality assurance and data specialists, fostering high-performance and development-oriented culture
- Advanced analytical skills to evaluate training materials, assess compliance, and drive performance improvements
- Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS), data analytics tools, and modern training delivery technologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage effectively with senior management, instructors, and stakeholders
- Ability to identify issues, assess risks, and develop innovative solutions to enhance training quality and operational efficiency
- Strong leadership capabilities with experience in driving strategic initiatives, large-scale change, and organizational transformation in training or aviation environments
- Understanding of cross-cultural learning needs and adaptation of training programmes to diverse global workforce
