Job description
The Manager - Business Consulting (Supply Chain & Operations, LPM) role at EY in Riyadh involves leading client engagement teams across diverse industries, driving large-scale procurement and supply chain transformations, and contributing to business development on strategic and global priority accounts. The position sits within the Supply Chain & Operations team, which focuses on enhancing clientsâ procurement and operational effectiveness through transformation programs covering spend management, category management, cost optimization, strategic sourcing, procurement operating model design, procurement digitalisation, procurement operations, and ESG initiatives. The Manager is responsible for leading large transformational engagements, establishing relationships with senior clients at the C-suite level, overseeing multiple projects and teams, and delivering high-quality deliverables that drive measurable business improvement. The role requires managing complex client programs, leading global or regional bids and proposals, and presenting executive-level insights to enact organizational change. The successful candidate will coach and mentor consultants, manage performance reviews, and contribute to recruitment and retention initiatives. The position demands strong consulting experience in procurement transformation, digital operating models, and supply chain performance enhancement, with at least five years of experience in a top-tier consultancy. Candidates should possess excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills, as well as entrepreneurial capability to identify and cross-sell opportunities. Arabic language proficiency is an advantage, and willingness to travel across the region is expected. Key responsibilities
- Lead large transformational client engagements across supply chain and procurement functions, focusing on business performance improvement.
- Establish and maintain valued relationships with C-level client executives across strategic and global priority accounts.
- Manage multiple EY teams and client stakeholders, ensuring project delivery meets high-quality standards.
- Oversee procurement transformation initiatives including spend management, cost optimisation, category management, strategic sourcing, procurement digitalisation, and ESG.
- Lead the design and implementation of procurement operating model transformations and digital supply chain solutions.
- Develop and present executive-level summaries and recommendations to drive client decision-making and operational change.
- Mentor and coach consulting team members, conducting performance reviews and providing structured career development support.
- Lead global and regional bids, proposals, and thought leadership efforts within Supply Chain & Operations.
- Identify and pursue business development opportunities, leveraging entrepreneurial insight to cross-sell EY services and solutions.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary EY teams to deliver integrated client solutions and ensure alignment with overall business strategy.
Experience & skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience at a tier 1 consultancy with a proven track record in procurement and supply chain transformation.
- Strong experience leading successful procurement transformations either in consulting or industry settings.
- Bachelorâs degree in a relevant field; outstanding academic record required.
- Expertise in digital solutions, operating model development, third-party spend management, and ESG within procurement.
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills with proven ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Experience managing multiple project teams and providing strategic direction to consultants.
- Analytical and change-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
- Demonstrated entrepreneurial ability to identify business opportunities and cross-sell products or services.
- Ability to travel across the region as required.
- Arabic language proficiency preferred but not essential.
