Job description
Presight, an ADX-listed company backed by G42 and the region’s leading big data analytics and AI powerhouse, is seeking a Commercial Manager in Abu Dhabi to drive revenue optimization, profitability, and contract performance in cloud computing, AI solutions, and data platforms. The Commercial Manager will lead the development of financial models, pricing structures, and business cases, supporting enterprise SaaS, PaaS, and AI-driven deals. The role includes designing innovative pricing models (consumption-based, subscription, hybrid), conducting deal profitability analysis, and supporting bid teams with P&L accountability. Responsibilities extend to contract review and negotiation across MSAs, SOWs, SLAs, and subscription agreements, ensuring contractual and financial risk mitigation while maintaining compliance with revenue recognition standards. The role also involves acting as a key interface between Sales, Finance, Legal, Delivery, and Product teams, presenting commercial recommendations to executive committees, and delivering market intelligence insights on cloud and AI trends, deal performance, and margin optimization. Candidates must have 7–10 years of experience in commercial management, pricing, or commercial finance roles within cloud, AI, IT services, or data solutions industries, with expertise in financial modeling, contract law, pricing analytics, and enterprise technology deals. Familiarity with hyperscaler commercial models (AWS, Azure, GCP), AI/ML commercialization frameworks, and revenue recognition in software services is preferred. The role requires advanced financial literacy, negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills. Key responsibilities
- Lead development of financial models, business cases, and pricing structures for cloud, AI, and data solution proposals
- Analyze deal profitability, total contract value (TCV), and margin impact
- Support bid teams with P&L ownership for large-scale enterprise deals
- Design and implement innovative pricing models for SaaS, PaaS, and AI-driven solutions
- Benchmark pricing strategies against market trends and competitor positioning
- Lead commercial negotiation strategies with enterprise clients
- Review and negotiate commercial terms across MSAs, SOWs, SLAs, and subscription agreements
- Identify and mitigate financial, operational, and legal risks in contracts
- Ensure compliance with revenue recognition principles
- Act as the commercial interface between Sales, Finance, Legal, Delivery, and Product teams
- Present commercial recommendations to senior leadership and executive committees
- Track market trends in cloud, AI, and data solutions to inform pricing and go-to-market strategies
- Conduct client pattern analysis, deal win-loss reviews, and margin improvement assessments
- Ensure compliance with QHSE, business continuity, information security, privacy, risk, and governance policies
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field
- 7–10 years of experience in commercial management, pricing, or commercial finance roles within cloud computing, AI, IT services, or data solutions
- Proven experience with enterprise SaaS and cloud deals, consumption-based pricing, and large-scale technology contracts
- Expertise in financial modeling, pricing analytics, and deal structuring
- Strong knowledge of contract law, commercial risks, and terms management
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Familiarity with hyperscaler models (AWS, Azure, GCP) preferred
- Understanding of AI/ML solution frameworks and data commercialization models preferred
- Knowledge of revenue recognition in software services preferred
- Proficiency in Advanced Excel and financial analysis tools
- High commercial acumen, analytical thinking, and ability to collaborate cross-functionally
