The Group Sustainability Manager – Employee Engagement and Sustainability Change Management is responsible for leading cultural transformation around sustainability pillars within Al-Futtaim by embedding sustainability in the Employee Value Proposition (EVP) to attract, engage and retain talent aligned with sustainability values. The role works closely with Group HR, Group Communications, Internal Communications, Sustainability Champions and various divisions to formulate and execute a comprehensive communication strategy that supports the Sustainable Transformation of the Group, with a strong focus on social media and internal engagement platforms and measuring success through posts and engagement metrics. The position develops and implements strategies embedding sustainability across the employee lifecycle, benchmarks sustainability dimensions of the EVP against best practices, monitors and reports on EVP performance metrics such as employee engagement and retention, and integrates clear and measured KPIs to track sustainability impact on the EVP. The manager collaborates with Group HR, Internal Communications and Sustainability Champions to organize masterclasses, industry roundtables and community events, strengthens cross-divisional partnerships to ensure coherent and impactful EVP messaging, and tracks success with metrics like the number of active Sustainability champions, events held and awards gained. The role develops and delivers tailored learning modules and upskilling programs for sustainability champions, organizes workshops, masterclasses and e-learning opportunities to build organizational sustainability capabilities, and measures success by the number of upskilled employees and sustainability learning programs conducted. Additional responsibilities include supporting recruitment branding and positioning Al-Futtaim as an employer of choice through sustainability storytelling and campaigns, and leading the organization of Al-Futtaim's annual Sustainability and Art event. The role requires strong analytical skills for monitoring and reporting on EVP and engagement metrics, excellent project management and stakeholder collaboration abilities, proficiency in digital communication, learning and reporting tools, and effective communication and training skills for employee engagement, supported by 5+ years of experience in employee engagement, social media and event organization with previous sustainability experience preferred and a proven track record in developing and executing employee engagement or sustainability strategies.

Key responsibilities
- Formulate and execute a comprehensive communication strategy to support the Sustainable Transformation of the Group, focusing on social media and internal engagement platforms and measuring success through posts and engagement metrics
- Work closely with the Group Communications team to ensure Al-Futtaim has a unique sustainability voice in the region, particularly concentrating on urbanisation and mobility
- Develop and implement strategies embedding sustainability across the employee lifecycle in partnership with Group HR
- Benchmark sustainability dimensions of the Employee Value Proposition against best practices
- Monitor and report on EVP performance metrics such as employee engagement and retention and integrate clear and measured KPIs to track the sustainability impact on the EVP
- Collaborate with Group HR, Internal Communications and Sustainability Champions to organize masterclasses, industry roundtables and community events and strengthen cross-divisional partnerships to ensure coherent and impactful EVP messaging
- Track success of community orchestration using metrics such as the number of active Sustainability champions, events held and awards gained
- Develop and deliver tailored learning modules and upskilling programs for sustainability champions and organize workshops, masterclasses and e-learning opportunities to build organizational sustainability capabilities
- Measure learning and development outcomes through the number of upskilled employees and sustainability learning programs conducted
- Support recruitment branding and positioning Al-Futtaim as an employer of choice through sustainability storytelling and campaigns
- Lead the organization of Al-Futtaim's annual Sustainability and Art event
- Collaborate and communicate with senior management, HR, Communications and other stakeholders on sustainability-related employee engagement plans and outcomes
Experience & skills
- Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HR, Sustainability, Organizational Development, or a related field
- Possess 5+ years of experience in employee engagement, social media and event organization
- Have previous experience in the Sustainability field (preferred)
- Demonstrate a proven track record in developing and executing employee engagement or sustainability strategies
- Exhibit strong analytical skills for monitoring and reporting on EVP and engagement metrics
- Demonstrate excellent project management abilities to handle multiple initiatives and timelines
- Show strong stakeholder collaboration skills to work effectively with Group HR, Group Communications, Internal Communications, Sustainability Champions and divisional teams
- Be proficient in digital communication, learning and reporting tools used to deliver sustainability content and track engagement
- Possess effective communication and training skills for employee engagement, including the ability to design and facilitate sustainability-related learning modules, workshops and campaigns
