Job description
As a Technical Product Manager at Swift, you will own the lifecycle of APIs in the Payment Services organization. You will define the API strategy, drive standardization, and ensure a consistent and high-quality developer experience. This role requires both technical depth and strategic thinking to harmonize offerings, optimize adoption, and align with business goals.

Key responsibilities
- Define API strategy and roadmap aligned with business objectives, focusing on harmonization, ecosystem growth, and usage optimization
- Manage end-to-end API lifecycle including ideation, design, development, launch, and ongoing maintenance
- Ensure consistent developer experience via documentation, sandbox testing environments, and harmonized API usage
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate high-level business objectives into actionable technical requirements
- Coordinate with internal teams for the development, deployment, and maintenance of API offerings
- Monitor and analyze API metrics (uptime, latency, error rates, adoption) to guide improvements and demonstrate business value
- Ensure compliance with internal security policies and governance to mitigate risks
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation in API design, adoption, and developer engagement
Experience & skills
- 7+ years of experience in API product management and technology product development
- Deep understanding of API fundamentals including REST and JSON
- Proficiency with tools like Postman and technical specifications such as OpenAPI
- Experience working with different types of products
- Strong understanding of developers and users, including pain points and developer experience optimization
- Experience in or significant exposure to payments, financial services, or technology sectors
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor and attention to detail
