Job description
The Senior Maintenance Programme Engineer is responsible for the development, implementation, monitoring, and continuous optimization of flydubai's Aircraft Maintenance Programme (AMP) to ensure compliance with GCAA regulations, OEM guidelines, and airline operational reliability standards. The role oversees maintenance programmes for the fleet, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements, continuous airworthiness, and reliability programmes. The engineer evaluates the AMP for optimized planning, reviews ageing aircraft recommendations, and provides guidance on task packaging to maximize aircraft availability and cost-effective maintenance. The role liaises with internal and external stakeholders, including manufacturers and regulatory authorities, participates in industry steering meetings, monitors AMP alignment with fleet phase-in/phase-out, manages taskcards, and supports closure of occurrence reports and audit findings. The engineer ensures updates on all Technical Assistance Queries (TAQs) are maintained in AMOS and provides out-of-hours support to guarantee safe, punctual, and cost-effective fleet operations.

- Monitor and develop aircraft maintenance programmes to ensure compliance with GCAA regulations and operational reliability requirements
- Manage and implement the Aircraft Maintenance Programme (AMP) in line with continuous airworthiness requirements, OEM guidance, and flydubai reliability standards
- Evaluate and optimize the AMP to support operational efficiency, cost-effective planning, and aircraft availability
- Review ageing aircraft maintenance recommendations and integrate them effectively into the AMP
- Provide guidance on task packaging to ensure maintenance tasks are efficiently planned and aligned with operational schedules
- Liaise with reliability teams to monitor maintenance programme effectiveness and provide feedback for improvements
- Coordinate regular meetings with internal and external stakeholders to manage AMP activities and updates
- Ensure taskcard management and AMP-related procedures are applied in accordance with approved processes
- Serve as primary liaison with regulators for AMP approvals and represent flydubai at manufacturer industry steering meetings
- Support closure of occurrence reports, audit findings, and maintain updates on all TAQs in AMOS
- Provide out-of-hours support as required to ensure safe and efficient fleet operation
Experience & skills
- Hold a Bachelorβs degree in Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Maintenance Programme management and reliability within aviation
- Proficient in using AMOS software for maintenance programme management
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Demonstrated understanding of regulatory compliance requirements, aircraft reliability, and airworthiness
- Strong communication, stakeholder coordination, and decision-making skills
- Ability to provide out-of-hours operational support and resolve maintenance programme issues
