Job description
Rare disease patients across 194 countries and some of the most underserved communities in the world sit at the heart of this Senior Medical Affairs Manager role, part of Novo Nordisk's International Operations unit. Reporting to the Affiliate Medical Director, you own the therapy-area Medical Affairs strategy end to end, working across clinical development phases to translate science into meaningful action. The Medical Affairs strategy and scientific communication plan get developed and executed across all clinical development phases for rare disease. Credible, scientifically balanced relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and external experts in the rare disease space get established and nurtured over time. Advisory Boards and insight-generation activities bring the patient voice directly into strategy and decision-making. Publication strategy, including Real-World Evidence publications, gets developed and executed to advance the scientific narrative. Medical education initiatives for Healthcare Professionals run through scientific meetings, congresses, symposia, and other channels. Strategic relationships with International Professional Associations extend the organization's scientific presence at global and national levels. Commercial, Research, Regulatory, and other cross-functional stakeholders rely on this role as a trusted medical partner for internal guidance and scientific training. Fluency in English and Arabic supports the scientific engagement work this position depends on.
