Job description
The Agile Product Owner Lead Analyst role at Cigna International Health in Riyadh focuses on owning and driving the health, roadmap, and delivery of a KSA-focused Data Engineering product. The role is responsible for delivering business value through agile delivery methods by identifying critical data elements and enabling their availability across the KSA business via consistent, high-quality data pipelines. The position balances multiple perspectives including customer needs, data and analytics requirements, operational considerations, technology constraints, and regulatory obligations. The Product Owner collaborates closely with the Product Manager, Release Train Engineer, and a delivery team comprising a Scrum Master, data scientists, and engineers to plan, prioritize, and execute the product roadmap. The role includes decomposing features into user stories with clear acceptance criteria, prioritizing delivery to maximize business value, assessing data and technology solution tradeoffs, coordinating dependencies across release trains, and ensuring business readiness prior to release within a regulated healthcare environment.

Key responsibilities
- Deliver product objectives using Cigna International Health agile delivery methods
- Define and maintain the product roadmap to deliver measurable business value
- Break down product objectives into features and user stories with clear acceptance criteria
- Prioritize and sequence user stories in the product backlog to optimize value delivery
- Lead a delivery team including data engineers, data scientists, and a Scrum Master
- Drive data engineering initiatives to identify critical data elements and build high-quality data pipelines
- Assess and select appropriate data and technology tools for features and user stories
- Evaluate solution tradeoffs across business value, delivery speed, technical, operational, data, and regulatory dimensions
- Coordinate dependencies across teams and communicate them to the release train
- Partner with customers and change readiness teams to ensure business readiness before release
- Collaborate with the Product Manager to define objectives and contribute to product discovery
- Communicate product context, objectives, and progress to stakeholders, teams, and portfolio groups
- Ensure alignment with regulatory requirements relevant to data and analytics in KSA
Experience & skills
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree
- Possess at least 5 years of experience working in cross-functional environments
- Demonstrate experience in product ownership or product management roles
- Demonstrate experience applying agile delivery methods
- Exhibit strong English language proficiency
- Demonstrate ability to work with stakeholders across multiple time zones
- Show experience managing data engineering or analytics-focused products
- Demonstrate capability to balance customer, technical, operational, and regulatory considerations
- Have technical competence in data pipelines, APIs, machine learning, or generative AI, which is preferred
- Have experience in regulated industries such as healthcare or financial services, which is preferred
