The Relationship Manager – Personal Loans & Retail Banking (Emirati and Islamic Segment) role focuses on onboarding and managing quality clients within the UAE retail banking environment, specifically targeting the Emirati and Islamic banking segments. The position involves driving sales and service delivery for liability products, including personal loans, credit cards, insurance, and other banking offerings, with a strong emphasis on maintaining high-quality client relationships. The professional is responsible for onboarding Mashreq Gold profile clients, ensuring they receive tailored banking solutions and superior service. The role includes managing the client lifecycle, addressing service-related issues, and providing advisory support on personal banking products. The Relationship Manager operates within the Retail Banking Group (RBG), supporting Mashreq Bank’s strategic objectives in the Emirati personal loan segment. Key responsibilities involve proactive client engagement, assessing client financial needs, ensuring compliance with bank policies and procedures, and delivering seamless banking experiences across all products. The role requires collaboration with internal teams to ensure smooth delivery of banking services, effective portfolio management, and achievement of sales targets in alignment with the bank’s growth and profitability goals. The position is office-based and requires working within Mashreq Bank’s regional branches across the United Arab Emirates.

Key responsibilities
- Onboard potential high-quality clients with a focus on liability products within the Emirati and Islamic banking segments.
- Manage the full lifecycle of client relationships including support for service-related issues and resolution of queries.
- Promote, cross-sell, and advise clients on personal loans, bank cards, insurance products, and other relevant banking products offered by the bank.
- Onboard and manage Mashreq Gold profile clients ensuring tailored services and high satisfaction levels.
- Assess client financial needs and provide advisory support on retail banking solutions aligned with bank policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate client records, financial documentation, and portfolio data in compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to deliver seamless banking services and ensure effective portfolio management.
- Achieve individual and branch sales targets for personal loans, cards, insurance, and other banking products.
- Monitor client portfolios to identify growth opportunities and recommend banking products or services to enhance client value.
- Provide ongoing relationship management, ensuring consistent, high-quality client engagement and experience.
- Support the bank in expanding its footprint within the Emirati and Islamic banking segments through proactive client acquisition and service excellence.
- Ensure adherence to internal control, compliance, and risk management frameworks while performing all sales and service activities.
Experience & skills
- Demonstrated experience in retail banking sales, particularly personal loans and liability product onboarding.
- Proven ability to manage client relationships and deliver high-quality service within the Emirati and Islamic banking segments.
- Strong knowledge of personal banking products including loans, cards, insurance, and wealth solutions.
- Ability to identify client needs and provide tailored advisory support and financial product solutions.
- Proficiency in cross-selling banking products and achieving sales targets within retail banking.
- Experience in onboarding and managing high-net-worth clients, specifically Mashreq Gold profile clients.
- Ability to manage client portfolios and collaborate effectively with internal banking teams for service delivery.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance, risk management, and internal banking policies applicable to retail banking operations.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and client engagement skills to maintain and grow client relationships.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven office environment and deliver consistent banking service excellence.
