Job description
Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) rules on SVF, RPSCS and consumer protection, alongside international standards such as GDPR, set the frame for this Director of Risks and Compliance in EITC's financial services business. Risk, compliance, AML and fraud policy all sit under you, along with establishing and supervising the Risk & Compliance functions. The risk strategy and risk appetite are yours to shape, together with the Enterprise Risk Management Policy and the limits and tolerances that go to the BRCC for approval. Material risks on existing and new products are assessed and reviewed, and breaches of risk appetite limits need clear corrective action plans. Board and BRCC reporting is regular, as is direct contact with the CBUAE on behalf of the company. On the AML side, you assess money laundering risk, oversee systems, controls and training, and report suspected cases to the UAE Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU). Thematic reviews and complaint data analysis keep consumer protection and the code of conduct under watch. Candidates need at least 12 years in Risks and Compliance teams within fintech or banking, previous Board-level reporting experience and a good understanding of payments, e-money or wallet products.
