Job description
Brand Portfolio Manager role within a retail and e-commerce business operations environment in Dubai, UAE, focused on identifying, onboarding, and scaling high-demand brands across a growing portfolio. The role is demand-driven and heavily data-based, leveraging quantitative signals such as search trends, marketplace data, social media velocity, and competitor benchmarking to identify high-potential brands. The position is responsible for building a continuous pipeline of new brands across multiple departments and leading end-to-end onboarding processes, primarily using marketplace and consignment commercial models. The role involves structuring commercial agreements that minimize inventory risk while maximizing assortment breadth and ensuring alignment with customer demand signals. The Brand Portfolio Manager collaborates closely with digital, content, marketing, supply chain, and operations teams to successfully launch and scale brands in the marketplace. The role requires continuous monitoring of brand performance using KPIs such as traffic, conversion rates, sell-through proxies, and contribution margins, and making rapid decisions to optimize portfolio performance. It also includes ongoing portfolio refinement through aggressive onboarding of high-demand brands and strategic removal of underperforming brands. The position ensures smooth operational onboarding and availability while supporting strategic outright buying decisions only when justified by strong demand signals, ensuring a fast-moving, data-driven, and commercially optimized retail brand ecosystem.
