Job description
The Visual Merchandising Manager is responsible for planning and executing current and upcoming store refits and new store openings. The role requires a strong understanding of home design concepts and merchandising principles, and the ability to lead and inspire a team of Visual Merchandisers and Designers to ensure world-class in-store communication and range presentation. The ideal candidate is experienced in project management, analytical decision-making, and stakeholder engagement. This position is housed under Home Centre and requires fluency in design software, a passion for excellence, and an understanding of regional customer trends.

Key responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and execute visual merchandising special projects, new stores, and store refits
- Design and implement store layouts, fixtures, and displays
- Manage project timelines, deadlines, and milestones
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, and operations
- Manage expectations of store managers, regional heads, and corporate teams
- Analyze demographic and sales data to determine merchandising strategies
- Resolve design, logistical, and operational problems
- Adapt strategies to sales trends, customer preferences, and market conditions
- Ensure brand consistency across visual merchandising elements
- Lead window implementation and in-store merchandising
- Collaborate with sales and logistics teams to ensure compliance with VM standards
- Ensure proper execution of merchandising guidelines and marketing calendars
- Optimize store layout to reflect complete Home Centre experience
- Implement key merchandising principles and planograms
- Conduct daily floor walks and give measurable feedback
- Maintain and update RPS System
- Ensure price ladder is clearly communicated in each department
- Conduct competitor visits and report on market trends
- Monitor store performance and make VM decisions to support business goals
- Recommend solutions for slow-moving products
- Encourage cost-consciousness using global tools and best practices
- Communicate business expectations and results to the VM team
- Conduct performance reviews and manage VM KPIs
- Deliver learning and development opportunities for VM team members
- Coach and develop team for strong performance and succession planning
- Enforce company policies on attendance, dress code, behavior, and ethics
Experience & skills
- University Degree in Visual Merchandising, Merchandising, Fashion, Design or similar
- 5–8 years total experience, with 2–4 years in VM management in furniture/houseware retail
- Proficiency in Office, SketchUp, AutoCAD, Photoshop, and rendering software
- Strong project management and communication skills
- Ability to analyze data and adapt to market trends
- Knowledge of Middle Eastern furniture trends and customer preferences
- Fluency in Arabic is an advantage
- Advanced competency in planning, organization, leadership, and customer focus
